1st specialization
Handmade Jewelry and Jewelry Design

The purpose of the specialization is to acquire the ability to design the expression of ideas, the ability to create original designs and the skill of performing the appropriate tasks for the manufacture of an original piece of jewelry by applying various decorative techniques.

2nd specialization
Production Jewelry

The aim of the specialization is to specialize in the engraving of precious metals, in the setting of precious stones, as well as the specialization in the whole production process of cast jewelry. That is, in the manufacture of a wax model (microsculpture in wax), in the handling of the necessary machinery for imprinting models in rubber, in the manufacture of wax figures, in the waxing and casting of the metals for the mass production of jewelry.

What is the duration of the training?

In both specializations, the study lasts 5 semesters. 4 semesters of study at the Vocational Training Institute (S.A.E.K.) and 1 semester of practice in an external workshop.

What certification do I get after completing the specialization?

Upon completion of the studies, the student receives a Certificate of Vocational Training and acquires the right to participate in the certification exams organized by the Ministry of Education on an annual basis, in order to obtain the diploma. The diploma obtained is recognized in all European countries and gives the possibility to continue studies in Universities abroad, which have departments of Silversmithing and Jewelry Design.

Can I attend both specializations?

After completing the first specialization, students have the option to continue with a second specialization, following the recognition of common courses by the Ministry.

What documents are needed for registration?

The required documents for registration are:

  • Certified high school diploma

  • Photocopy of police ID

  • 2 color ID photos

For graduates of non-Greek high schools and foreign nationals (Cyprus is excluded), the equivalence of the high school diploma and a certificate of Greek proficiency are required.

Do I need any tools or materials for the attendance?

You will need a personal set of tools (collective tools and machines are provided at our facilities) and the necessary materials, metal or nonmetal, to make the jewelry. The jewelry made from any material belongs to the trainee and he keeps it after the end of his training.
